To produce competent graduate and post graduate students for leadership in teaching, cutting edge research and production of dosage form

Established in 2007, the Department of Pharmaceutics has a team of well- qualified teaching faculty and offers an excellent research-based learning environment.
The facilities include round the clock internet access, computers and sophisticated instruments such as HPLC, FTIR, Spray Dryer, Lyophilizer, Brookfield viscometer, Ultrasonicator, High speed homogenizer, Stability Chamber, Rotary Flash Evaporator with Chiller and 10 Station Rotary Press.

Its research based activities are broadly categorized under:

Targeted drug delivery system

Colon targeted drug delivery system

Transdermal drug delivery system

Brain targeted drug delivery system

Buccal drug delivery system

The department is also involved in various community healthcare services in collaboration with the NSS Unit of the college in rural places around the city of Vijayapura.
